Terms and Conditions in Our Water Restoration Company
Acceptance of Terms
By visiting our website, you agree to follow these Terms and any updates we make. We may change these rules at any time without notice. If you keep using the site after we post changes, it means you accept the new version. This agreement is between you and Albany Damage Cleanup Company.
Please read these sections carefully to understand your rights and our duties. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our website or services. These rules apply to all visitors and customers in Albany, New York.
Services
Albany Damage Cleanup Company provides restoration for water, fire, and mold issues. Our work includes on site assessments to check for damage using tools like moisture meters. The scope of each project is limited to the items listed in your work order.
We might use third party vendors for special tasks like plumbing or electrical repairs. Service availability depends on our schedule and your location. We do not promise that every item can be restored to its original state. Some materials may be too damaged for repair and will need replacement instead.
Quotes, Billing, and Payment
Estimates are our best guess of the cost based on what we see during the walk through. Final invoices may change if we find hidden damage after work begins. We will use change orders to update you on price shifts. Some projects may require a deposit before we start.
We accept standard payment methods as discussed during the estimate phase. Payments are due when the work is finished unless we agree to a different plan in writing. Late balances may result in extra fees. You must notify us of any billing disputes within ten days of the invoice date.
Insurance and Claims Assistance
We help you by providing photos and detailed notes for your insurance company. Our team uses standard software to make the claims process easier for you. However, we do not work for your insurance brand. Insurer approvals and payments are their own independent decisions.
Albany Damage Cleanup Company does not guarantee that your insurer will cover every cost. You are responsible for paying any part of the bill that the insurance company does not cover. This includes your deductible and any services they choose to deny.
Scheduling, Access, and Site Conditions
You must give our crew access to your property during the agreed work windows. It is your responsibility to ensure utilities like power and water are turned on. Please keep pets and minors away from the work area for their safety.
We may pause work if we find hazardous conditions like asbestos or structural risks. Our team needs a safe environment to finish the job correctly. If we cannot get into the property at the scheduled time, you may be charged a fee for the trip.
Health and Safety
Our technicians receive training to follow IICRC standards for all cleanup tasks. We use protective gear and set up containment to stop dust and spores from spreading. Our team uses negative air machines and EPA registered disinfectants when needed.
We follow all local health and safety rules in Albany, New York. Your safety is very important to us while we dry or clean your home. Please stay out of marked work zones and follow all instructions given by our project manager during the restoration process.
Customer Responsibilities
You must remove jewelry, cash, and other small valuables from the work area before we start. Please tell us about any preexisting issues with your home, like old leaks or weak floors. It is your job to follow our safety instructions and drying guidance.
For example, do not turn off the fans or dehumidifiers we leave in your home. These machines must run constantly to prevent mold and rot. If you move our equipment or turn it off, we cannot be responsible for any resulting damage or mold growth.
Warranties and Disclaimers
We provide a limited warranty on our workmanship for a set period. This does not cover preexisting damage, normal wear and tear, or hidden conditions we could not see. We are not responsible for damage caused by acts of nature like new floods or storms.
Our warranty does not cover failures by third party products or machines. We make no other promises about the final results of the restoration. This warranty is only valid if you have paid your bill in full and followed all our maintenance and drying advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service. Albany Damage Cleanup Company is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages. This includes things like lost wages or the cost of staying in a hotel.
We are not liable for damage that happens because you did not tell us about hidden problems in the structure. Our goal is to work safely, but we cannot be held responsible for issues beyond our direct control during the cleanup and repair process.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least twenty four hours in advance. We may charge a fee for late cancellations to cover our lost time and travel. Emergency work is handled differently because we move crews immediately to stop damage.
Once emergency work has started, you are responsible for the costs of the labor and equipment used up to that point. We will work with you to find a new time if we must reschedule due to weather or equipment issues.
